I got paid, and I got to leave work half an hour before anyone else.
Both Em and I have two days a week when we leave at 4.30 instead of 5pm (I think we do it so we work the right number of hours). My days are Tuesday, which is nice, and Friday, which is fun. Especially when the afternoon had been busy and faintly annoying. I hung up on one of the shops when they called to make a claim for undelivered items. He was rude, he went on about how he had lots of things missing and this had messed up his day and he wanted to claim for them, but didn't want the hassle of doing the claim and having all of it rejected (which may not have happened but he'll never know now). He said he was going to get his area manager to do it and I - having had him ranting for a few minutes and not very happy - said "Okay. Get him to call us. Goodbye" and put the phone down.
It felt great. Do not mess with me, little people, for I have power!
I got home early enough to see the end of Ready Steady Cook. Hurrah. We get to cook dinner ourselves tonight as the parents are not here. Then I think we will drink beer and watch tv.
I like Fridays.
